Techniwood, Soprema et Weber have obtained a case A ATEx for a unique ETICS coating solution applied to Panobloc®, expanding the architectural possibilities of off-site facades both new and renovated.
The CSTB (Scientific and Technical Center for Constructiona) has issued a case A Experimental Technical Opinion (ATEx) validating a major innovation in the field of wooden facade: the direct application of an Exterior Thermal Insulation System under Coating (ETICS) on traditional wood-frame facades with Panobloc® panels.
Developed in partnership with Pavatex® (Soprema) for the wood fiber insulation, and Weber (Saint-Gobain) for the coating, this solution is now applicable to buildings up to 28 meters high.
A high-performance, durable and aesthetic off-site solution
This industrialized solution is a first on the market : it allows a complete facade to be produced in the factory, with the insulation and coating system installed directly on the Panobloc® panel.
The result : an impeccable finishing quality, significantly reduced construction times, and great architectural freedom. This includes the ability to create traditional joinery openings without metal pre-frames.
A concrete response to environmental and regulatory issues
This new system combines environmental performance and energy efficiency . It is based on a low-carbon wood panel, bio-sourced insulation (thickness of 40 to 120 mm), and a ready-to-use coating, offering excellent thermal resistance.
Without an air gap and 100% industrialized, this facade fits perfectly into energy renovation projects as well as new construction projects.
A new step for bio-sourced facades
This ATEx opens up new doors for architects, design offices, and project owners that are looking for reliable aesthetic and low-carbon solutions for their projects.
It marks a new stage in the development of bio-sourced prefabricated facades, serving faster, more sustainable and more efficient construction.

We are proud of this innovation
« With this ATEx, our new solution, which combines the advantages of off-site construction, bio-sourced insulation, and a coated finish, has been validated up to 28 meters high. We are proud of this innovation designed with our partners Soprema and Weber. »
